AthelstanOne PTY Limited is a UK-based technology solutions provider specialising in the design, development, and long-term maintenance of enterprise-grade software systems and IT infrastructure. We partner with organisations across multiple sectors to deliver innovative, secure, and scalable digital solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Business Analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary analytical and solution-design lead on a major software development and infrastructure engagement, working directly with an enterprise client to deliver a suite of interconnected technology systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take a leading role in a high-value, multi-year contract.
The postholder will be responsible for bridging business requirements and technical delivery, ensuring all systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with the client to elicit, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements for a dedicated server infrastructure, SMS communication software, a company mobile/web application, and service management software
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and technical solution designs for use by development teams
- Act as the primary liaison between the client organisation and internal technical teams, ensuring continuous alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions
- Design and document end-to-end IT system architectures ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards
- Conduct structured analysis of existing client processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Manage and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) throughout the 3-year maintenance and support period, ensuring contractual obligations are met
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance processes, and formal client sign-off for all deliverables
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including requirements specifications, architecture diagrams, test plans, and operational guides
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests using established ITIL and project management frameworks
- Coordinate application deployment, software updates, security patching, and bug resolution during the post-delivery maintenance phase
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, service performance dashboards, and management updates to client stakeholders and senior leadership
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent role within an enterprise or technology services environment
- Proven ability to gather and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs
- Experience managing or overseeing the delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure, software applications, or digital transformation projects
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, SLA management, and IT service delivery governance
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, build, test, and deployment phases
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in producing high-quality documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and project reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach to work
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced professional environment
Desirable Requirements
- ITIL V4 Foundation certification or higher
- BCS, PMI, or equivalent professional certification in Business Analysis or Project Management
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, server virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), or mobile/web application development oversight
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar enterprise platforms
- Experience delivering technology solutions in a cross-border or multi-regional context
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management qualification
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £43,000 per annum
- 28 days annual leave inclusive of public holidays
- Monday to Friday working pattern, 09:00–17:00 – no shift or weekend working
- A challenging and rewarding role on a high-profile, multi-year technology contract

Our Values
No egos, ever.
The more you learn the less you know. We are not authoritative in our approach with clients and reports. We are informative and do our best to help improve security. We are all willing to ask questions and are committed to continual learning.
Be amazing, together.
On all our projects, we work together. We are all extensively trained, but we work together to ensure we minimize blind spots with everything that we do. When someone gets stuck or has a finding that may lead to a compromise, we all work together to review the issue from multiple sources of perspective.
Dig deeper to deliver more.
The strength of the Packetlabs team is our relentless pursuit of thoroughness. We have developed an extensive methodology for each service offering and aligned a checklist to ensure we explore each and every test case. Our team always goes the extra mile because we’re all passionate about what we do. This is not a job, this is who we are.
Always be learning.
Curiosity is part of who we are. We are constantly asking ourselves who, what, when, where, why in order to better understand the design of everything that we test and identify weaknesses. We believe that having an unshakable fascination with our work, colleagues, and clients gives us the opportunity to learn new things and form deeper understandings.
Be a good person.
We are open and honest with our clients and refuse to cut corners because we know we can do better. We validate integrity when onboarding new employees (background checks), extensive training and practical certifications, and peer reviews of testing and our reports.
